Today, I dropped by to say hi to the boys down at Lucas County Choppers. Actually, it's my buddies from work, Micah and Arch, who are building a mini-chopper in Micah's garage. They spend every Wednesday afternoon and evening doing welding and metal fabrication projects, and just recently began work on the bike. They are working on creating a video documentary for the entire project as well.
Since I haven't welded anything since high school and am generally not very handy when it comes to tools, I spent the majority of my time there watching and trying some experimental shots with the camcorder. I have very little experience shooting video, so I practiced a little and tried to get a few random shots they can use for cutting between the larger sections of their videos.
As luck would have it, it's the guy not doing anything that gets injured first. The bike frame fell off of the welding table and smashed one of my fingers. There was a lot of pain and a little blood inititally, but it more or less feels fine now...I'm keeping my healthy fingers crossed that the smashed one won't be black in the morning. And shame on you, Arch, for laughing at me!! :-P
