It's not bad here, nor is it predicted to be, although it's thundering as I type this. However for some of the states west, this afternoon and evening could be a bad one. The NWS doesn't put out High Risk zones very often, so when they do you know it's a very serious situation.
It just seems very early in the season to be having this kind of weather. Last spring and summer there were very few thunderstorms. If I recall correctly Oklahoma didn't record a tornado in May, which is extraordinary, and around here it was very, very quiet. I have a feeling that this year will make up for it, and then some. We're kind of due for a hellacious spring.
