As the weather people predicted, we have received quite a snowstorm for this late in the year. The predictions of upwards of a foot of snow were ridiculous, since the ground was too warm to handle much accumulation...but we did get around a half-inch or so that stuck only on the grassy areas. A lot more than a half-inch fell, but the vast majority of it melted instantly. Roads, driveways, and sidewalks are just wet.
It looks like Fort Wayne and Toledo got about the same amount of snow. Here's a picture my dad took of Maggie playing in the snow this morning.

heard you on Micah's Podcast, it was a good show. also, so true about NASCAR
Oh my goodness, Maggie is gorgeous! I happened to find your site through Micah's and saw Maggie's picture and melted. I love terriers. I grew up with Airedales, and when I was looking into getting our dog in 2003, I knew I wanted either an Airedale or a Welsh. Well, the wait for a Welsh was very long, so we ended up getting an Irish Terrier from the breeder (who also bred welsh), all the way up in Grand Rapids, MI. The female Airedale that we had when I was still at home was named Maggie, incidentally. My I.T. is named Annie, and I have pictures of her on my site, if you're curious. http://punky.typepad.com/mindmatter/pets/
I saw the pictures of Annie, that's a great looking pup! My parents got Maggie from a breeder in Auburn, IN, and the pups were available right when they were ready to buy her (talk about a perfect fit!). I also grew up with an Airedale, a spunky female named Princess (1992-2004). We loved her very much (her death was such a sad event I couldn't even bring myself to mention it in the blog)...but we didn't want another dog that big. So in essence we have as close to a "mini-Airedale" as one can get. Maggie's a great little dog!
That was my original thinking, too; I wanted a Welsh because they're little mini-Airedales. My husband's family had a miniature schnauzer.. my family had Airedales... so we had to compromise on a middle ground kind of dog. Sometimes I really wish we would have waited for a Welsh litter, especially seeing how cute your Maggie is, but my Annie really is a good girl. She's just too darn smart for her own good, though! Typical Terrier. You can see the gears turning in their heads, you know. ;) Actually, my mom still has our female airedale, who is now 10 years old, and I'm going on vacation out that way this week so I'll get to see her again. I am so excited! :) I would love to get a Welsh puppy for Annie to have a playmate; she truly loves playing with other dogs... though my husband is a bit reluctant to go ahead with that plan. (Keep posting cute Maggie pictures and maybe I can sway him. lol)
