First Post From the Detroit Auto Show

Yesterday I made my now annual trip north to the Detroit Auto Show. I took many pictures, and I plan on making a much more detailed post on this topic later, once I've completely collected my thoughts on the matter.

You might be asking, "why would you need to collect your thoughts after an auto show?" Well, I noticed a lot of things wrong with the new auto lineups and the direction many automakers are taking their companies. A lot of contradictory things and a lot of simply wrongheaded things. Some of the reasons for my disgust I can't quite put a finger on yet, so it will require some thought.

Overall, I was underwhelmed. I could count the number of cars that I liked well and could afford on one hand and have fingers to spare. I guess it's just difficult to design, build, and market cars to people in my age and demographic group, and still make money. I guess I either need to have a family or wait about 20 more years before there's a car out there designed for me. But, in either of those events, what reason would I have to get excitied about cars anyway?
