Recordings from Groom Lake Tower

Available here: clicky

Interesting notes:

The "Janet" 737s use the callsign "Maple" while in contact with the Groom Lake facility. When in contact with Nellis or Vegas they use "Janet".

It seems that aircraft based at Groom use the callsign "Henry", no matter the type of aircraft.

On traffic calls, "fastmover" and "slowmover" is as specific as it gets. The Groom Lake controller never says the type of aircraft.

When control is transferred between facilities, the controller only says "frequency change approved", not "contact Facility X on frequency X."
