The wonderful folks representing the NHL owners and the NHLPA sat down for another meeting the other day and, as expected, made little or no progress toward staving off a lockout. The sad part about it isn't the fact that they aren't coming close to an agreement, because that's expected. What is sad is that this last meeting was their first since May, and no future meetings have been scheduled. What? These people need to be meeting and discussing every day until they come up with an agreement. The fact that they're not tells me something. It tells me that they've already decided there won't be an NHL season next year...
